The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a * Flash Flood Watch for portions of Oklahoma and Texas, including the following areas, in Oklahoma, Beaver and Texas. In Texas, Armstrong, Carson, Collingsworth, Donley, Gray, Hansford, Hemphill, Hutchinson, Lipscomb, Ochiltree, Roberts, and Wheeler. * Through Tuesday morning * Widespread heavy rainfall has already occurred across parts of the region with several additional rounds of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms possible through Tuesday morning. Total rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are likely in the most persistent areas of heaviest rainfall with localized higher amounts possible. * The prolonged rain event may result in rises along area rivers and creeks with some locations that may exceed flood stage.
