| Students take objective tests which include questions over literary techniques and analysis, and over 3 pre-selected pieces of literature. These include a group of poems by a single writer, a novel, and a play. At the end of the objective test is an essay question which involves analysis, and is used only as a tie-breaker. This year's selections are Shakespeare's Hamlet, Voltaire's Candide, and the poetry of John Keats. Candide is the one this year! |
